In short, yes. The mobile operator (e.g. t-mobile) will be able to see that the SMS did actually originate from our service and it could hypothetically be traced back to you. Whilst this is extremely unlikely, it can (and has) happened in the event of an abusive or threatening text message.

We keep full records on every SMS message sent and if we were contacted by any authority we wouldn't hesitate to comply with any requests. Therefore it is best to use the service for exactly what it is intended for, a prank!
